Battleships: General Quarters is a digital version of the popular Battleships board game. In this well designed game, the objective is to take out your opponent by sinking his ships, the only problem: You have to guess where they are, while your opponent is doing the same, so it all comes down to the question: Who will sink all the others ships first?
Game Play
To start the game you have to deploy your ships on the playing field, by selecting them with the mouse, and releasing them on the field. You can use the arrow keys of the keyboard to change the direction of the ships, and once all is selected the location of the ship is set, and can’t be altered.
When all ships have been deployed in this fashion, the game begins, by simply choosing an area of the board and clicking it which launches a missile on that area, and either hits water, or an enemy ship.
Battleships: General Quarters is turn based, which means after each try it is the computer’s turn to try to find and sink your ships. When you hit a ship (Or the computer) you get another turn, until the next miss, after which it’s the opponent’s turn to make an attempt.
Battleships: General Quarters is every bit as good as the board game, and thanks to excellent sound effects even better! It is addictive, fun, and suitable for all ages.
